Can you afford not to go to Osfest this year? Moaning about the economy has become a national pastime but music festivals in the UK are helping to generate huge amounts for the UK Economy.

About £7.7 million people spent £1.4 billion on music tourism according to a report by UK Music. Head of UK music Feargal Sharkey, former lead singer of The Undertones, thinks the government should take more notice of the money that is brought into the economy from 'music tourism'. The report also mentions that music events have the power to draw people into the most unlikely corners of the UK and boost local economies in the process. Take the recent Big Weekend on a windy field in Carlisle attracting the likes of Lady Gaga and The Foo Fighters for example.

Osfest will also be attracting some big names to Oswestry this Bank Holiday including Example, Tinchy Stryder, The Feeling, Toddla T, The Boomtown Rats, The Jam and others. Osfest is now in its second year, and we are now firmly established on the festival circuit. We want to make this year's event an even bigger success than last year, so book your tickets online today and help keep Osfest (and Oswestry) on the UK festival map!
